Mark Yamakawa, President and CEO (Retired), Hawaii Dental Service

Mark Yamakawa is an accomplished healthcare executive with a strong track record of leadership in mission-driven, non-profit organizations. He most recently served as Senior Vice President at HMSA. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Hawaii Dental Service, and earlier held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at The Queen’s Health Systems.

With deep expertise in healthcare operations and strategic leadership, he continues to contribute to the community through board service. He currently serves on the boards of Hawaii Pacific Health, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, and ‘Iolani School.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa.
